The Director for End-to-End Patient Data, Quality, and Tracking will work as part of the Patient Specialty Services Analytics team to ensure that Patient Specialty Services (PSS) can track every Novartis Pharma patient on their end-to-end patient journey from initial prescription through approvals, therapy initiation, and adherence/continuity in care. Working directly for the Executive Director of PSS Analytics and in partnership with colleagues across Novartis Pharma, the Director for End-to-End Patient Data, Quality, and Tracking will have primary responsibility for ensuring that PSS Analytics has robust and reliable data systems and effective data flows to allow for close end-to-end patient tracking, reporting, and detailed analytics for every Novartis Pharma brand supported by the Patient Specialty Services team. Specifically, this Director will be responsible for (1) all data management strategy, tracking, and evolution, (2) data quality and testing, (3) all data system platforms and platform evolution, and (4) ensuring the effective and accurate data flows to the PSS Analytics team to enable end-to-end patient journey tracking and effective analytics to support data review and visualization across the Novartis Pharma portfolio. This person will be a critical team leader in the PSS Analytics and overall PSS teams, and will help the Executive Director for Analytics in proactively shaping strategy and operational management of the data and analytics capabilities for the PSS team. He or she will be a core part of helping PSS determine and problem solve its key business questions and challenges, and in translating those questions and challenges into actionable insights and analytics. He or she will also be an expert in the underlying data systems, vendors, and analytical products needed to effectuate the analytics. He or she will also take strategic leadership in helping to define the core platforms for the PSS Analytics team (both for underlying database and for analytic tools) and for determining the systems roadmap, development, and evolution of those platforms. He or she will be responsible for the effective operations of those systems, as well as incremental process and performance improvements. In addition to being a strategic leader and a data systems expert, this person will also be adept at working with a diverse array of partners and stakeholders within Novartis, as well as a strong ability to work with and manage external vendors and parties. Many of the PSS programs are executed via external parties and we have a variety of data feeds/sources/inputs. The role of this person is to collectively work with our PSS program leads and the franchise commercial leadership to track performance, analyze effectiveness, model impact of changes, and drive the reporting and analytical agenda for the group. Specifically, this person will work, in conjunction with the Executive Director, with Franchise Teams, Patient Access Teams, Patient Lifecycle Services and Business Services teams, in addition to PSS leadership and the PSS Analytics team.
Single Point of Contact across PSS Analytics to all stakeholders ensuring release of high quality data
Understands business priorities/challenges and translates into data QC needs and data performance metrics
Defines & maintains business rules to ensure high data quality for utilization across PSS Analytics
Ensure high quality, full visibility end-to-end data for the full patient journey for supported Novartis Pharma brands
Manage communications to key stakeholders inside the organization as it relates to relevant data
Responsible for ongoing acquisition and maintenance of business data including SP data, syndicated data and internal Novartis data
Regularly interacts with external and internal data providers to ensure high standard of data timely, accurate & complete
Rapidly problem solves and resolves data issues for PSS Analytics as needed, working closely with IT, DS&E, Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Managed Markets, Market Access operations teams
Defines data quality metrics and utilizes reports and dashboards to monitor quality and enforce SLAs and data agreements
Ensures smooth maintenance of external data (syndicated and SP), solving the day to day issues
Collaborate with peer PSS Analytics staff to ensure consistent understanding and communication of common source issues (SP, HUB, 3rd Party Data)

Bachelor s Degree in relevant area, MBA Preferred.
Fluent in English (oral and written)
3-5 years Specialty pharmaceutical industry or related field
Strong understanding of data warehouse and master data architecture and processes
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical information into business relevant information
Strong business knowledge and mindset to provide guidance on how data can be applied to answer business questions
o Understanding of how data is used for analytics & reporting
Vendor management skills to enforce SLAs based on data quality performance
Strong problem solving & project management skills
Deep understanding of specialty brand data (i. e. data from HUB services, Specialty Pharmacies, Syndicated vendors, internal data etc.)
Prior experience in Business roles, both Sales & Marketing highly desirable
Ability to interface with and influence senior business leaders
