Navigate BioPharma, a division of Novartis, is seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of:
Position Summary: The Project Manager, BioPharma Services will initiate, manage and maintain biomarker and diagnostics services supporting clinical studies with pharmaceutical companies. They may also investigate potential business agreements by participating in identifying and in-licensing new late-stage technologies for introduction into these studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and build relationships with clinical, study, outsourcing and project teams at Pharma companies to obtain and promote projects.
Facilitate agreements/the proposal process for assigned clients. Develop project budget and scope, and prepare pricing for projects using standard models. Prepare proposals and contracts. Initiate the legal process for review of documents and assist in follow up through execution.
Work in conjunction with internal legal, finance and other departments as required to write proposals, generate contracts and maintain revenue forecast.
Assist in contract negotiations, and client presentations as appropriate
Develop, manage, and execute assigned projects. Develop project plans, define roles and responsibilities and the scope of work for each project with input from sponsors, project leaders, principal investigators, clinical and outsourcing groups. Work in conjunction with sponsors, project leaders, principal investigators, clinical and outsourcing groups as needed for problem resolution. Ensure timely and accurate completion of project milestones. Monitor project status, and provide regular updates to management, governance teams, and sponsors. Communicate back to internal groups the expectations set forth for each group i.e. clear details, critical timeframes, deliverables and expectations.
Serve as internal expert on project. Author study-specific documents, lead meetings, generate meeting minutes, proactively resolve issues
Work with finance and legal teams as needed to facilitate agreements, drive billing, and maintain revenue forecast.
Evaluate project performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all components of proposals.
Track and report on the status of projects to internal groups as well as management team/governance teams as appropriate
Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems or challenges
May attend study meetings organized by Pharma companies
May assist with quality audits hosted by sponsors
Responsible for communicating progress with management on critical issues
Work closely with finance and legal teams as required to facilitate agreements as well as maintain revenue forecast
Other activities as assigned
May supervise 1-2 individuals as appropriate

Education: Bachelor s degree in a science-related field.
Minimum of five (5) years related project management experience in clinical trials or drug development preferred.
Qualifications: A strong customer and service focus is essential.
Strong communication skills are also required to 1) insure internally that client expectations and timelines are met or exceeded; 2) present the company to scientific and clinical teams. Demonstrated ability and success in fostering internal and external collaborations.
Demonstrated success working in a team. Must be able to influence without authority.
Must be able to work in a team setting, trouble shoot be adaptable and foster collaborations.
Knowledge of operational/logistical aspects of clinical trials as well as FDA regulation of clinical trials; GCP and 21 CFR is a plus.
Strong scientific background is essential
Strong organizational and program management skills/certifications a plus
Knowledge of logistics and clinical trial operations a plus
