We re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of:
Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist
Position Summary: Perform assigned technical assays according to established procedures and policies or under supervision when no procedure is available.
Keeps daily record of performed assays and results for each assigned project.
Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance/result. Independently research and resolve issues or work in collaboration with others as needed for more complex problems.
Helps in creating/troubleshooting new procedures and assays according to the needs of the department and under supervision of the assigned supervisor.
Attends weekly research meetings and presents data collected on each assigned project with appropriate analysis and recommendations.
May assist in instrument maintenance and functions checks; documents all related activities.
Assist in training new personnel with regard to technical and operational procedures.
Adheres to established deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of assay results and the most efficient use of resources.
May perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Education, Experience and Skills: Degree in Biological Sciences or related fields plus related laboratory experience as follows:
o Bachelors plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a clinical or research laboratory; 5 years preferred OR
o Masters degree with related laboratory experience OR
o Clinical Laboratory Scientist: License (no previous experience required).
Strong background in molecular and/or cellular biology techniques (cell-based assays, Flow Cytometry, etc.).
Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning skills in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation.
Ability to analyze, verify and manipulate clinical and/or laboratory data independently.
Knowledge of statistical methods is desirable
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
