Novartis is recruiting for an Associate Director Sales Operations role. This position will be located in East Hanover, New Jersey.

The Associate Director Sales Operations will be part of the Cardio Resp BU organization. The core responsibilities for this role include the following:
As an important member of the Cardiovascular Sales Operations team, this individual s responsibility will include supporting the Sales Leadership & Operational team in achieving key business objectives and sales targets through the management and coordination of business critical work streams and events. Key job duties include planning, coordinating and managing sales strategy and sales operations, including implementation and ongoing maintenance of initiatives from Sales, Marketing, Sales Force Effectiveness and Sales Training.
This role will include key direct responsibilities, including:
Proactively monitor business performance and execution (including field force key indicators); recommend solutions and course correction tactics as needed; develop reporting mechanisms and key indicators to clearly communicate Field Force performance
Work with Product Lifecycle Services (PSL) to optimize and simplify reports
Oversee KPI reporting to ensure consistency, increased productivity and identification of issues/opportunities
Liaise with CV Field Leadership to design, implement and track field-driven innovation programs
Work with field-based project teams to design and implement key innovation initiatives
Support the operational effectiveness of Sales Leadership for the CV Franchise
Creates and manages processes to streamline workflow, adapts to continuous changes, prioritizes tasks, and stays ahead of the planning process.
Assist in coordination & support the field force in tactical execution and projects including: Brand Communications & Tactical roll out, Sales training requirements and coordination of National Sales Meetings including Launch Meetings and Business Review Meetings.
Work with key business partners across functions to ensure appropriate support levels for CV operations
Lead or co-lead special Initiatives and projects to drive key business results (through strong project planning and management)
This position will require long hours and ability to work under tight timelines

Position will be filled commensurate with experience
Five years plus of commercial sales related experience
Demonstrates strong competencies in operations, execution and project management
Knowledge of internal organizational process and procedures
Sales management/ leadership experience
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnosis business issues and incorporate into development or adjustment of strategies, plans and tactics to achieve business objectives
Excellent business/commercial acumen needed; demonstrates ability to self-start, initiate and to deal with ambiguities
Experienced in establishing and cultivating relationships; able to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and partners across the organization
Uses diverse and varied approaches to persuade, negotiate and influence operational decisions
Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and in a team structure; maintain strong cross-functional ties with key business partners
Proven track record of developing and managing multiple tasks
