To drive disease awareness, initiation and usage of Novartis dermatology products; to achieve targets for sales performance and market share; to develop effective business relationships with customers (physicians, treating staff and other stakeholders) that support delivery of business results; to initiate or support programs that make a difference to the life of the psoriasis patient. The Dermatology Sales Specialist will represent and promote Novartis as a leader in the Dermatology community and marketplace. Assure access and distribution available to healthcare providers and patients within all compliance guidelines. Also will provide disease state awareness education.
Incumbents will be responsible for covering 2-3 territories and will focus on a defined target list of priority physicians/practitioner within those territories. Focus on the total office call, to assure the needs of all stakeholders are met within compliance guidelines including: Nurses and Office Managers, among others. Another component of this role includes activities such as opinion leader development within territory. The Sales Specialist must be able to develop relationships and maintain an active presence in the Dermatology community and associated organizations.
Three (3) years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience or two (2) years successful experience selling Dermatology or Rheumatology pharmaceutical products
Previous dermatology/rheumatology selling experience or experience selling biologic/specialty product(s) with a complex distribution pathway (specialty pharmacy, reimbursement specialists, buy and bill etc.).
Ability to travel 50+% based on geography needs

Comply with all credentialing requirements for any healthcare institution (e.g., hospital) which is part of the field associate’s call plan, including, among other things, routine background checks, medical testing (i.e., Tuberculosis test) or proof of immunizations, training on facility policies, and adherence to confidentiality and/or HIPAA agreements.
Previous biologic sales experience, familiarity with the Dermatology and Rheumatology Community, and complex distribution pathways (specialty pharmacy, reimbursement specialists, buy and bill etc.)
Experience with launching dermatology, biologic, or other specialty product with a complex distribution pathway
Experience selling in a competitive market environment
