The Finance Management Development Program is a highly visible entry-level opportunity within the Finance organization at Covance. Individuals in this role will rotate through the key disciplines of Finance over a three-year period focused on enhancing financial skills, problem solving, presentation skills and learning the Covance business. Participants will take an active role in learning the Covance business, while being exposed to at least three of the following areas: Decision Support o CLS (Indianapolis) - Help automate all financial reports and write corresponding SOP s. Assist in the monthly close, quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting process. Prepare corresponding financial analysis in support of the business and support special projects. o EDNA (Madison) - Participation and presentation of semi-annual budgets, evaluation of capital expenditure requests including discounted cash flow analysis, and business partner to operating units to help them understand financial drivers and factors impacting profitability. o CDS (Princeton) - Responsible for the financial review and analysis of complex projects. Assists operations with identifying issues and proposing solutions for items impacting the financial success of the project. Interacts with key functions to assist in the overall financial management of assigned projects. Internal Controls and Financial Reporting o CORP (Princeton) - Perform financial and compliance audits. Assist in the risk analysis process and help develop the annual audit plan. Manage Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements and assist in special projects Contracts o EDNA (Madison) - negotiation of contracts with clients, participation in monthly revenue reconciliation process, interaction with Corporate legal, and participation in project involving key clients (e.g., dedicated capacity agreements or similar). Various o CORP (Princeton) tax, accounting, treasury, internal audits and purchasing functions
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher Demonstrated leadership Relevant Internship experience Less than 3 years corporate work experience
